Drop down list text value in Livecycle Designer

Last week I had to get the chosen item from a drop down list in a PDF Livecycle Designer Form. Easy enough you should think.

But it did not work as I thought it would work.

As you would think the : $.rawValue would get you the item you want. But I did not want to have the item value but the text value.

Disable Adobe Reader Toolbar in Webdynpro

Last week I was searching for a way to disable the Toolbar of the Adobe Reader in a Webdynpro application. I needed this when working for a NL 4 Business customer

SAP provided a way in the Form but that did not seem to work in Livecylce 8.0.

After a lot of searching on the Net and trying a lot of code I finally found a way to Hide / Disable the Toolbar of the Adobe Reader in the SAP Webdynpro application.

Auto remove highlighted fields

This week when working at NL for Business I was creating some PDF documents with Adobe Form Designer for a demo.

I noticed that when I had some required fields they instantly turned red and had a blue highlighting.

Like so:

pdf_highlights

I really really did not like this. So I searched the net and found a way to remove this

LiveCycle PDF Form big sized.

If you created a PDF form with SAP Interactive Form by Adobe or with Adobe LiveCycle Designer you sometimes get a large form which in essention is just a small form.

When creating forms for customers of NL for Business, I saw my form just get bigger and bigger when adding one or two more fields.
